Last Sunday, we had a welcoming shower for baby Olivia Ann Pauly who lives in Kentucky. We enjoyed meeting the baby girl, seeing her mom Holli, hanging out with friends especially the Helland family, seeing Aunt Barbara, & playing with Coco. The kiddos loved assisting Holli (well, doing it themselves) with opening the gifts! Afterwards, we stopped by Target in Homewood to get Halloween costumes. Stryker will be Raphael (ninja turtle) & Lake chose Doc McStuffins! Memories flooded my mind as I reminisced the countless years of me dressing in scrubs & surgical attire.

Middle of the week adventure
Stryker's class field trip was cancelled Tuesday due to stormy weather Monday night. Logan & I took advantage of a rare day off during the work week - slept in, Birmingham Zoo, Savage's bakery for lunch & goodies, naps, & playing outside. I even cooked dinner which I rarely get the opportunity to do since I work late most nights.

Fire truck visit
Gardendale Fire Department made a trip to school last week. Stryker & Lake enjoyed getting to play on the truck. Sorry no pictures of Lake & her class.
Pumpkin cookies
Saturday's soccer game got cancelled due to rain so we decorated pumpkin cookies on the back porch after Lake finished her gymnastics.
Treats & PJ's
What better way to celebrate Stryker's shining star week at school than to eat ice cream outside at Dairy Queen in PJ's??!!
Homestead Hollow
Homestead Hollow in Springville, AL was this weekend. We enjoyed at least a little time before the rain came. Appreciate the memories. Lake found a way to swing from the porch of a little house while everyone ate popcorn. Stryker & Lake tried their first fig...both actually asked for more.
Shining Star - Stryker
Our precious baby boy was the shining star student last week. It included sitting at a special desk, being able to take any toys or books to sit with him during the day, & any special treats for the class.
Ole Miss vs. Alabama football 2014
Hotty Toddy!! Our awesome neighbors had a tailgate set up outside in the backyard to watch the game. Chuck is a big Alabama fan while his wife is an Auburn fan. Chuck made sure to buy a new Alabama outfit for the occasion. The kiddos were playing outside while the game was ticking away. It was a great game with my Ole Miss Rebels taking the win!!!!! 5-0 baby!!! Can't wait until Monday at work. Now, on to Texas A&M.
